Bengaluru, July 9. The State Meet 2025 for Uttarakhand on Leveraging Space Technology for Viksit Bharat 2047 – Insights from the Himalayan State was successfully organised on 30 June 2025 by Regional Remote Sensing Centre-North, NRSC in collaboration with Govt of Uttarakhand at Chief Minister Camp Office, Mukhya Sewa Sadan, Dehradun. The event was conducted as part of a series of consultations leading up to the National Meet scheduled in August 2025 in New Delhi. As envisaged under the National Meet initiative, these State-level meets aim to compile state-specific perspectives and operational requirements to guide the formulation of a comprehensive national roadmap for space applications and infrastructure development.

Hon’ble Chief Minister Mr. Pushkar Singh Dhami graced the occasion as Chief Guest and emphasised that space technology is no longer confined to scientific research but has become vital for agriculture, weather forecasting, disaster management, health, and infrastructure development. He called the event a milestone in realising the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047 and congratulated ISRO and scientists on the historic achievement of Indian astronaut hoisting the national flag at the International Space Station.
