Bengaluru, March 3. Air Vice Marshal Joy Thomas Kurien Vayusena Medal, Air Defence Commander, Southern Air Command, IAF visited 2 Air Force Selection Board on March 1, 2025. On his arrival at Mysuru, he was received by Air Commodore Abhijit Tokekar Vayusena Medal, Air Officer Commanding, 2 Air Force Selection Board.
The Air Vice Marshal was the Chief Guest for Air Force Golf Cup conducted at Jayachamaraj Wadeyar Golf Club (JWGC) Mysuru on March 2, 2025. ‘Air Force Trophy’ was instituted by the Indian Air Force in the year 1987 to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of 2 Air Force Selection Board, Mysuru. This year the Board celebrates 62 years of having been raised.
During his visit, the Air Vice Marshal interacted with the members of Jayachamaraj Wadeyar Golf Club Committee and invitees during dinner hosted by 2 AFSB on March 1, 2025. On March 2, 2025, he presented trophies to the winners and runner up players and handed over the Air Force Golf Trophy to the best player of the competition. The Air Vice Marshal thanked Jayachamaraj Wadeyar Golf Club Committee members and appreciated the efforts put in by the members of the organising committee for conducting the event in a professional manner.
