12th India Inclusion Summit 2024: Catalyzing Change for an Inclusive India

Bangalore, November 17. The much-anticipated 12th Indian Inclusion Summit (IIS) took place on November 16th and 17th, 2024 in the vibrant city of Bangalore, bringing together thought leaders, change-makers, and advocates of inclusion from across the country. The summit, a flagship event in the realm of inclusion and diversity, serves as a platform to celebrate abilities, foster dialogues, and catalyze actionable solutions for a more inclusive India.

The event aimed to emphasize the importance of breaking stereotypes, embracing diversity, and creating an environment where every individual, regardless of ability, is empowered to thrive. The summit featured a host of thought-provoking sessions: a discussion on pressing issues such as accessibility, inclusive education, and employment, with MSJE Secretary Rajesh Aggarwal and VR Ferose; inspiring talks by persons with disabilities; a panel on para sports with medal winning para athletes and their coach; release of the coffee table book “Everyone is Good at Something” edited by C.K. Meena,  featuring 100 stories of persons with disabilities as part of the ongoing photo campaign on disability by renowned photographer Vicky Roy; networking opportunities for stakeholders, including corporates, policymakers, and NGOs.

Over the past 12 years, the Indian Inclusion Summit has emerged as a transformative movement, influencing policy changes and driving grassroots-level awareness. This year’s event drew an audience of over 800 participants, including individuals with disabilities, advocates, educators, and business leaders, making it one of the largest inclusion gatherings in the country.

Speaking about the event, Mr. Rajesh Aggarwal said, “The Indian Inclusion Summit is not just an event but a catalyst for change. It brings diverse voices together to redefine the narrative around inclusion and build a society that values every individual equally.”

The summit also showcased initiatives and innovations driving inclusion in India, featuring artwork by individuals with disabilities.

The Indian Inclusion Summit was an opportunity to learn, connect, and contribute to building an inclusive society.
