ATLANTA, March 7. Pratt & Whitney Canada, a business unit of Pratt & Whitney, has expanded its P&WCSMART™ portfolio with a new “flat rate” parts package – comprised of new major assembly parts replaced during a scheduled reduction gearbox clutch inspection – available for several PT6T-3 engine models.

Pratt & Whitney Canada’s PT6T-3 Engine

“Our P&WCSMART portfolio provides customers with an efficient and cost-effective means of keeping their engines and aircraft flying longer, part of our ongoing efforts to support customers at every stage of their engine’s lifecycle,” said Christopher (Scott) McElvaine, Vice President, Business Development and Commercial Services, Pratt & Whitney Canada. “With a population of over 2,800 PT6T-3 engines, this package provides customers with genuine new P&WC parts at a reduced, guaranteed price to support their schedule maintenance activities.”

The P&WCSMART™ Clutch Inspection New Parts Package for PT6T-3 reduction gearboxes is offered to customers flying helicopters powered by PT6T-3BE, PT6T-3BG, PT6T-3D, PT6T-3DE and PT6T-3DF TwinPac™ engines. With the solution, customers receive genuine new Pratt & Whitney Canada parts at a reduced price of US$100,000. Customers who select the new parts package receive a full, OEM-level warranty for the parts. They additionally receive a US$10,000 credit towards the next P&WCSMART™ overhaul of the same gearbox.”
