Induction of CISF at JSW Steel Limited, Dolvi, District Raigad (Mah.)

New Delhi. On June 10, in a glittering induction ceremony, CISF took over the regular security of JSW Steel Limited, Dolvi, District Raigad (Maharashtra). The Unit is headed by an Inspector rank officer and the sanctioned strength of CISF for this establishment is more than 70. 

Mr. K. N. Tripathi, Inspector General, CISF, Western Sector HQrs, Mumbai was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Mr.  Ashish Chandra, Plant Head JSW, Dolvi, officers of  JSW & CISF and other dignitaries were present on the occasion. 

With this induction, total private establishments under CISF security cover raised to 13 (thirteen) as on date. The administrative control of this private establishment will be under IG, CISF Western Sector, Mumbai.

JSW Steel Limited is a private 5 Million Tons Per Annum integrated steel plant spread over an area of 1500 acres of land  and  is located on the west coast  of Maharashtra. It is around  80 km from Mumbai by road, and is approximately 36 kms from Gateway of India by sea. 

JSW Dolvi is located close to the financial capital of Inda i.e. Mumbai, it plays a vital role in the economic growth of not only the surrounding areas but also of the country.  The proximity of the plant to the coastal area makes it prone to various threats.  In the light of the threat perception, security of JSW, Dolvi  is of utmost importance as this vital installation is contributing in national economy. CISF will provide security to the JSW, Dolvi on Quick Reaction Team (QRT) pattern.
