Siddharth Mandlik finishes strong at IRONMAN Taiwan 2025 at Penghu, Taiwan
Bengaluru, April 28. Demonstrating extraordinary endurance, grit, and determination, Mr. Siddharth Mandlik successfully completed the prestigious IRONMAN Taiwan 2025 at Penghu Island on April 13. He crossed the finish line with an impressive overall timing of 12 hours, 52 minutes, and 57 seconds.
The IRONMAN triathlon, renowned for its gruelling course, consists of a 3.8 km open water swim, a 180 km bike ride, and a 42.2 km full marathon – all completed in succession. Battling through the challenging coastal winds and choppy water conditions of Penghu, Mr. Mandlik showcased both physical and mental resilience.
This achievement marks a significant milestone in his triathlon journey, which he began in 2024 at Ironman 70.3 Goa held on 27 October 2024, wherein he was placed 17 in age group ranking with a finishing time of 6 hrs 28 min 30 sec. This milestone places him among the elite endurance athletes who have conquered one of the toughest single-day sporting events in the world.
The officer hails from Kolhapur, Maharashtra and was commissioned into 3 Mech Infantry (1/8 GR) in Sept 2006. The officer has completed 18 years in the Indian Army. He has been an avid fitness enthusiast since his early years of commissioning and decided to put his physical and mental capacity to the test by participating in Ironman Goa 2024, Tata Mumbai Marathon and subsequently Ironman Taiwan 2025 held at Penghu Island, Taiwan on 13 Apr 2025.Friends, family, have lauded his effort, calling it an inspiration to aspiring endurance athletes back home. His finish is not just a personal victory but a proud moment for Indian sports enthusiasts who continue to make their mark on the global IRONMAN circuit.
