Union Minister of Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia Unfurls Indian Flag Using Garuda Aerospace Drones in Gwalior

  • In partnership with Bharat Drone Association

Gwalior, August 16. In a remarkable display of patriotism and innovation, the Bharat Drone Association and Garuda Aerospace joined hands to pay a heartfelt tribute to the Honorable Minister of Civil Aviation, Mr. Jyotiraditya Scindia. The virtual event, ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ was organized to commemorate 77 years of Independence in India. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia virtually unfurled the Tricolor in Gwalior using a fleet of Garuda Aerospace drones by pressing the Drona Button. The groundbreaking event featured drones flying over major developing sites for a duration of 15 minutes highlighting a glimpse into Gwalior’s ongoing transformation.

The event witnessed the presence of representatives from the office of the Honorable Minister of Civil Aviation and members of the press. The Garuda drones showcased a bird’s-eye view of the Rs 1300 crore elevated road spanning the Subarnarekha River, the iconic Gwalior theme road, the ambitious multi-level car parking project, and the Rs 300 crore endeavor designed to enhance the city’s aesthetic appeal and convenience for its citizens. Furthermore, the program showcased other pivotal developmental projects, including the construction of 4 city entrances, the Morar River beautification project, the recently inaugurated 1000-bed hospital and another multi-specialty hospital.

“On this auspicious occasion, we are very grateful to witness an innovative drone-based initiative that our Honorable Union Minister of Civil Aviation paid tribute to by unfurling our national flag remotely using a Garuda Aerospace drone in Gwalior. I would also like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to the Honorable Minister and all the silent warriors at the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the DGCA for several drone-related schemes introduced by the government that make events like today possible. Precise decisions and policy implementations by the Ministry of Civil Aviation give reasons for companies like Garuda Aerospace to grow. The government’s consistent support to the drone sector is why organizations like Bharat Drone Association have been conceptualized to support thousands of Indian drone manufacturers, service providers, and drone pilots. Gwalior is a significant city for Garuda Aerospace and we affirm our relentless commitment to our Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to transform India into a global drone hub by 2030” said, Agnishwar Jayaprakash, Founder and CEO, Garuda Aerospace.

Speaking on virtually unfurling the tri-color in Gwalior using drones, Union Minister of Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia, said, “Yesterday, on August 15th, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a comprehensive vision for India’s forthcoming centuries to its citizens. The essence lies in ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas’ – collective support, universal development founded on mutual trust, and joint efforts. The unanimous determination of India’s 1.4 billion inhabitants embarks on a journey spanning generations, with an aspiration to elevate India to the stature of a global mentor. Our task is to contribute wholeheartedly to this commitment. Gwalior has historically been a significant contributor to the vast tapestry of India, and as Gwalior transforms, it becomes an integral part of India’s evolution. I extend my gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modiji, Chief Minister Shivraj Singhji, and all individuals involved. Together, we are dedicated to reinvigorating Gwalior’s prominence. On this auspicious occasion, I offer my heartfelt wishes for the realization of our collective goals. The pledge that the Prime Minister shared with all of us yesterday is a testament to his dedication, and I trust that over the forthcoming 20-25 years, we will steadfastly work towards reshaping India in a new paradigm, fueled by unwavering dedication. I extend my sincerest congratulations for the ongoing efforts and extend my well-wishes to all. Thank you. Jai Hind. Jai Bharat.”

The event is a testimony of Garuda Aerospace’s contribution to a $5 Trillion economy. Previously Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji launched the drone yatra where 100 drones were flagged off simultaneously across 100 villages in India. Garuda Aerospace has also supported the Navy, Airforce, NDRF, DRDO across various initiatives.
