Students Celebrate Raksha Bandhan with Soldiers at Banaswadi Military Garrison
Bengaluru, August 13, 2025. Bengaluru witnessed a heart-warming Raksha Bandhan celebration as students from New Horizon Public School and Kairalee Nikethan School visited the Gorkha Amphibians at Banaswadi Military Garrison to celebrate the Raksha Bandhan festival under the aegis of Bison Division. On arrival the young students were greeted by Col Yash Agrawal, the Garrison Commander before the start of their program on familiarisation to a Soldier’s Daily Routine and celebrating the auspicious Raksha Bandhan festival with the protectors of the nation.
The young visitors then tied rakhis to soldiers, expressing gratitude for their dedication and sacrifice in safeguarding the nation. In return, the soldiers blessed the students and shared inspiring stories from their service, fostering a spirit of patriotism.
Students also received an engaging orientation on the rich history, battle honours and regimental traditions along with insights into the daily life of a soldier.
The celebration concluded with a group photograph and refreshments, leaving behind cherished memories and a strengthened bond between the Armed Forces and the citizens they serve.
