Industry Veteran Rajiv Chib Appointed Senior Vice President, Chowgule Group

New Delhi. Industry veteran Rajiv Chib has been appointed Senior Vice President (SVP) of the Chowgule Group, a Goa-based industrial conglomerate.

With this the Group has made its intentions clear to emerge as a key player in the defence sector over the next few years.

Prior to taking over the new assignment, Rajiv was Director of Aerospace and Defence Practice at the global audit and consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Pvt Ltd.

Effective July 23, as SVP, Rajiv will lead the entry into the defence business segment which is likely to involve a number of licensing and strategic partnerships.

Rajiv has more than 30 years of experience in the defence industry and has assisted a large number of defence firms in formulating their growth strategies, structuring bids and partner search. During his earlier tenure in the Ministry of Defence, he was involved with capital procurement and headed the erstwhile Defence Offset Facilitation Agency (DOFA) Secretariat.

The Indian defence sector offers a significant opportunity for domestic players, given the Government’s intent to promote the private defence industry via a fresh dose of defence reforms.
