Scorching the tarmac-ASC Tornadoes Motorcycle Display Team Sets Three New World Record in a Single Day

Bengaluru, December 10. Endurance, Skill and Courage the hallmark traits of the Indian Armed Forces yet again comes to the fore as the Army Service Corps Motorcycle Display Team (Tornadoes) achieve an extraordinary feat on December 10, setting three new world records in a single day, thereby etching their names in the record books.

Three new world records galore at the event, held to commemorate the 264th Army Service Corps Day.

The records set, truly speaks volumes of Corps’ legacy of achieving the rarest of feats with precision.

Epitomizing the spirit of adventure, dare- devilry, skill and guts the team exhibited their prowess, yet again.

The day’s first record was set by Subedar Pradeep SS, who set a world record for the longest backward ride on a motorcycle, covering an impressive distance of 361.56 kilometers.

Adding on, Havildar Manish broke the world record for the longest basic hands-free wheelie, traveling a remarkable 2.349 kilometers.

Additionally, Sepoy Sumit Tomar created a new record for the longest no-hands wheelie, achieving a distance of 1,715.4 meters.

The event, took place at the ASC Centre and College and the Bangalore-Chennai Expressway. The record-breaking attempts were witnessed by the Joint Commissioner of the Government of Karnataka, along with other distinguished dignitaries, who praised the exceptional skill, bravery, and determination of the Army Service Corps team.

These remarkable achievements not only showcase the team’s discipline and expertise but also highlight the spirit of innovation and excellence within the Indian Armed Forces.

This is a significant milestone that honors the rich history and contributions of the Army Service Corps to the nation’s defense. Referred as a “Lifeline of the Army” the Corps unwavering support to the force is truly priceless.

The feats achieved stands as a testimony to the Corps larger narrative of discipline and dedication, inspiring the future generation to achieve excellence in whatever field they embrace.

The attempts were conducted in accordance with the official guidelines of the Guinness World Records.

The ASC TORNADOES

The Army Service Corps Motorcycle Display Team “Tornadoes” has been the cynosure of the Indian Army, epitomizing the spirit of adventure, daredevilry, technical skill and spirit-de-corps. “Tornadoes” have an impressive World Records in their kitty, with the count increasing every year. The team is stationed at ASC Centre (South), Bangalore and has over 30 Riders of two Officers, two Junior Commissioned Officers and 35 Other Ranks.

Tornadoes have displayed their skills in thousands of shows across the length and breadth of the country. The team has also represented India many times at the International level in Bhutan.
