Bengaluru, January 14, 2026. Under the aegis of Karnataka & Kerala Sub Area, an Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) Polyclinic, MEG & Centre has been renamed as “ECHS PC BRV” and shifted to BRV in the Integrated Army Veterans Complex, Cubbon Road, Bangalore. The Polyclinic was inaugurated by Maj Gen VT Mathew, AVSM, YSM, General Officer Commanding, Karnataka & Kerala Sub Area and Senior Veterans of Bangalore Military Station. The Polyclinic is equipped with modern medical facilities and staffed by experienced healthcare professionals. The Polyclinic aims to provide quality healthcare services to over 22,000 Veterans of the Armed Forces.
The Integrated Veterans Complex will also cater for the other allied facilities like Veterans Help Desk Cell, AWPO Cell, DSW&R, Banking KIOSKS, CSD extension Counter, Wellness Centre and a Cafeteria to provide required facilities to the veterans at a single location.
The inauguration marks a significant milestone in the efforts to enhance healthcare service for Ex-Servicemen and their families. The General Officer Commanding, Karnataka & Kerala Sub Area expressed his gratitude to all involved in making this project a reality and emphasized the importance of providing quality healthcare to those who have served the nation.
Further, on the auspicious occasion of ‘Veterans Day’, flagging off of an Outreach rally for Veterans was organized by HQ K&K Sub Area Veterans’ Cell. As part of Outreach Pgme, a team under the aegis of Pioneer Corps Trg Centre will travel by road to the North part of Karnataka to make contact with the Veterans community in that area. The team will conduct an outreach at Bellary, Raichur, Yadagir and Bidar over the next few days. A similar outreach is being flagged off at Kannur where their team will cover North Kasargod in Kerala.
The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests to include Commandants of Training Centres, including senior military officials from CHAF, MDC, Regional Centre, Bangalore, Veterans and family members of ECHS beneficiaries.
