Ran Samwad 2026 Bengaluru: India’s Tri-Service Seminar on Multi-Domain Warfare Explained

India is hosting the Tri-Service Seminar Ran Samwad 2026 in Bengaluru to discuss multi-domain warfare, defence preparedness, and evolving global security challenges

By R Anil Kumar

Bengaluru, April 9, 2026. The Tri-Service Seminar Ran Samwad 2026 is being held on April 9–10, 2026, at the Indian Air Force Training Command in Bengaluru. This important defence event brings together experts from India’s Army, Navy, and Air Force to discuss future warfare strategies.

The main focus this year is on Multi Domain Operations, which means preparing for war across land, air, sea, cyber, space, and cognitive areas. The seminar aims to help India strengthen its defence readiness and respond better to modern security challenges.

Ran Samwad 2026:

‘Ran Samwad’ is a tri-service initiative created to encourage deep discussions on war, warfare, and warfighting. It was conceptualised by Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan.

It is designed as a platform where military officers, experts, and thinkers come together to share ideas and prepare for future conflicts.

Theme of Ran Samwad 2026:

“Multi Domain Operations: An Imperative for Addressing Conventional and Irregular Threats”

This theme highlights the need for India’s armed forces to operate together across multiple domains.

Modern wars are no longer limited to land or sea. They now include:

  • Cyber attacks
  • Space-based systems
  • Information and psychological warfare

The seminar will focus on handling both traditional and new-age threats effectively.

Features of Ran Samwad 2026:
