Anadrone Systems Praised by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for Leading India’s Indigenous High-Speed UAV Revolution

New Delhi, October 8, 2025. Anadrone Systems, one of India’s foremost developers of unmanned aerial platforms, was commended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh during the Raksha Navachar Samvaad organized by iDEX–DIO and the Department of Defence Production (MoD, GoI).

Building on its proven expertise in target drones, Anadrone has unveiled ABHAY, an anti-radar decoy drone with swarming, active jamming, chaff dispensation, and adaptive radar cross-section modulation capabilities. Designed for Suppression of Enemy Air Defence (SEAD) operations, ABHAY delivers a range of over 500 km, endurance exceeding one hour, and service ceiling of more than 30,000ft enhancing survivability and deception in contested airspace.

Being developed under the ADITI 1.0 – iDEX–DIO initiative, Anadrone has initiated their field-trials within a year of its award, underscoring team’s execution discipline and engineering agility. Recognizing this, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh remarked, “Fast development, meeting milestones ahead of schedule, and field-testing within a year of winning the project—this is the spirit India needs.”

The Raksha NavacharSamvaad brought together India’s leading defence innovators, where the Hon’ble Minister urged startups to create India’s first Defence Unicorn and lead the global technological transformation. He emphasized that “India’s defence innovation journey is moving from concept to creation, and from vision to victory.”

Commenting on the recognition, Mr. Anant Bhalotia, Founder & CEO, Anadrone Systems, stated, “This acknowledgement from the hon’ble defence minister reaffirms our mission to develop high-speed autonomous UAV systems with core indigenous technology. Our goal is to accelerate exports, push the frontiers of autonomy and electronic warfare, and continue supporting the Armed Forces with reliable and world-class systems.”

Headquartered in Gurgaon with R&D facilities in Odisha, Anadrone has delivered over 1,000 SHIKRA target drones to the Indian Armed Forces, DRDO, DPSU’s and Private Weapon Developers. With over 80% indigenous content across its platforms, the company is pioneering advancements in jet-powered UAVs, swarm coordination, and electronic warfare, positioning itself as a critical enabler of India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat vision in defence technology.
