Lt Gen HS Kahlon, GOC, Maharashtra, Gujarat & Goa Area visit to Army Establishments in Nagpur and Kamptee

Nagpur, March 27. Lt Gen HS Kahlon, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding, Maharashtra, Gujarat & Goa Area is on visit to Army Establishments in Nagpur & Kamptee from March 25 to 28. On March 26, during his visit to HQ Uttar Maharashtra and Gujarat (HQ UM&G) Sub Area, the General Officer was briefed by Maj Gen SK Vidyarthi, GOC, HQ UM&G Sub Area about preparations of the Sub Area towards it’s role during War and Peace, to include the active role being played in Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Relief, Welfare Initiatives for Ex-Servicemen, Heritage Tours of Sitabuldi Fort being conducted for Civilians and Infrastructure development plans.

The General Officer applauded the efforts undertaken and especially for the successful conduct of the ‘Shaurya Sandhya’ event at Nagpur highlighting the various facets of the Indian Army for the benefit of the local populace.

The General Officer visited Kamptee on 27 Mar 2024, where he was briefed about improvements undertaken in the station and logistics development capability. During his visit to Guards Regimental Centre he was briefed about the upgradation of Agniveer Training facilities and he also witnessed live conduct of training. The General Officer interacted with the Officers, Recruits and Training Staff and exhorted all ranks to continue to strive towards excellence in service to the Nation.
