Nagpur. An impressive Passing Out Parade (POP) was held at National Cadet Corps Officers Training Academy, Kamptee on September 9. The Passing Out Parade was reviewed by Air Marshal Vibhas Pande, AVSM, VSM, AOC-in-C Maintenance Command. The Parade was Commanded by Senior Under Officer Nemade Aniket Vilas, Mahrashtra NCC Directorate, in which 420 Cadet Training Officers (CTOs) of NCC Senior Division marched smartly to the martial tunes played by the Military Band of Brigade of the Guards Regimental Centre.
The meritorious Army trainees were CTO Arkadipta Banerjee, CTO Harjit Singh & CTO Namade Aniket Vilas; who won the Director General’s Baton with Commandant’s Gold Medal, Commandant’s Silver Medal & Commandant’s Bronze Medal respectively. Whereas CTO Katam Arun Kumar, CTO Bhandari Vishal Govind & CTO Abdul Gafoor A M; won the Director General’s Baton with Commandant’s Gold Medal, Commandant’s Silver Medal & Commandant’s Bronze Medal respectively as meritorious Naval Trainees. The Director General’s Banner for Inter Company Championship was won by Shivaji Company.
The POP was the culmination of ninety days of rigorous training curriculum which included Drill, Physical Training, Yoga, Leadership & Personality Development Capsule, Community Development and Disaster Management classes with the aim to empower them to conduct NCC cadet training efficiently in their respective institutions.
The Reviewing Officer in his address urged the passing out course to uphold the aims and objectives of NCC and contribute towards effective Nation Building by shaping young minds and moulding the NCC cadets to become responsible and dynamic citizens of our country. He complimented the passing out course for the high standards of Drill and training displayed by them. He also appreciated the ‘Team OTA’ for the conduct of training in an outstanding manner.
