Graduation Parade of Technical Officers held at Air Force Technical College Bengaluru

Bengaluru. A ceremonial Passing Out Parade (POP) of 105th Aeronautical Engineering Course, was held at Air Force Technical College on September 6, 2025, amidst the presence of dignitaries, officials, air warriors, parents and air veterans. A total of 71 engineering officers including 13 officers from Friendly Foreign Countries (FFC) graduated from the College with flying colours on the occasion which marked the completion of 62 weeks of rigorous training.

Air Marshal Vijay Kumar Garg, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Maintenance Command, IAF was the Chief Guest for the event and he also inspected the parade as Reviewing Officer (RO). On arrival, the RO was received by Air Commodore Ashutosh Shrivastava, Commandant of the College. The parade was marked by a spectacular flypast by Dorniers, and Mi-17 Helicopters. The ‘Air Warrior Drill Team’ and IAF Band also showcased their skills during the parade.

The RO awarded trophies and medallions to the officers who excelled in the course. The prestigious ‘Sword of Honour’ for first in the order-of-merit was awarded to Flying Officer Sanapala Madhu, the ‘President’s Plaque’ for the best officer in professional subjects and General Service Training was awarded to Flying Officer Nisarg Sharad Surve. ‘The Chief of Air Staff Medals’ for first in the order-of-merit in Electronics and Mechanical streams were awarded to Flying Officer Kunal Phaghal and Flying Officer Bhanupriya Sharma respectively.

The AOC-in-C, MC addressed the gathering and congratulated the graduating officers. The Air Marshal exhorted the officers to be focused on operational readiness by being innovative, keeping abreast with advances in the field of technology, and to constantly upgrade their knowledge and skills to tackle maintenance challenges thereby ensuring optimum availability and reliability of IAF assets. He also urged Officers to cultivate the highest standards of physical and mental fitness so as to excel in every task entrusted to them. The Air Marshal reminded them that as Engineering Officers, they bear the dual responsibility of leading men and harnessing technology, and their dedication would directly contribute to the combat effectiveness of the Indian Air Force.
