Vietjet becomes the sole airline connecting three Taiwanese cities to Vietnam’s paradise island with the launch of Phu Quoc-Taichung/Kaohsiung services

Ho Chi Minh City, June 14. Vietjet’s first-ever flights between Vietnam’s largest island Phu Quoc and the cities of Taichung and Kaohsiung in Taiwan have taken off, as the airline intensifies its efforts to expand its global reach.

The Phu Quoc – Taichung route operates from June 13 with three return flights per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The service between Phu Quoc and Kaohsiung becomes available one day after with four round trips weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Vietjet offers passengers a big promotion party when they book international flight tickets every Friday until year-end, on the website www.vietjetair.com or the Vietjet Air mobile app, with fares from just USD0 (exclusive of tax and fees). All passengers flying with Vietjet also receive free SkyCare travel insurance, which covers a wide range of benefits, as well as 24/7 global medical and travel support services.

Vietjet currently operates 9 direct routes connecting Vietnam’s to Taiwan’s major cities. It is the only airline offering flights between Phu Quoc and all 3 largest cities of Taiwan, namely Taipei, Kaohsiung, and Taichung. Together with numerous routes crisscrossing Asia Pacific, Vietjet’s growing air network has contributed significantly to the recovery of transport and tourism in the region and beyond.

Given the strong demand, the airline has added 1.4 million seats to its domestic flight network and inaugurated several international routes since the start of this summer. Besides the two new routes to Kaohsiung and Taichung, Vietjet has recently launched Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, with Australia’s Sydney and Melbourne, and with Japan’s Hiroshima. Further connection to China is also underway with the Ho Chi Minh City- Xi’an route to be inaugurated from July 1st, 2024.

Located off the southwest coast of Vietnam, the tropical paradise Phu Quoc has emerged a beach paradise, stunning tourists with its year-round mild climate, turquoise crystal-clear waters and numerous long, white-sand beaches. For the time being, international travelers coming to Phu Quoc can enjoy the Vietnam government’s visa exemption scheme with a stay of up to 30 days.

*Ticket promotion available every Friday.
