Bengaluru, January 16. The unit based at Banaswadi Military Garrison, Bengaluru under the aegis of Bison Division and Thiruvanthapuram Brigade successfully organised a heartfelt Veterans’ Day celebrations to honour the invaluable contributions of the esteemed veterans. The event was attended by 150 plus veterans and their families and witnessed a heartwarming display of gratitude and camaraderie.
The day commenced with a well-attended medical camp, providing essential healthcare services to the veterans and their families. A dedicated CSD extension counter ensured convenient access to essential goods for the retired soldier. Also, a grievance cell was established which noted and provided solutions for personal documentation issues of the veterans and their families. A high tea followed, offering a relaxed and social environment for veterans to reconnect and share their experiences.
A significant highlight of the event was the felicitation of Veer Naris and select Veterans who have continued to serve the nation even after their military service. These individuals have made remarkable contributions to society and are actively engaged in nation-building endeavours.
The Veterans’ Day celebration was a resounding success, fostering a sense of pride and belonging among the Veteran Community. It served as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices and unwavering dedication of our brave soldiers.
