Mumbai. Vice Admiral Rahul Vilas Gokhale, YSM NM, Chief of Staff, Western Naval Command, laid a floral wreath at a solemn ceremony at the Gaurav Stambh in Naval Dockyard Mumbai, on the occasion of Navy Day on December 4, 2025. A ceremonial guard was paraded to mark the occasion.
Gaurav Stambh commemorates ‘Victory at Sea’ and recognises the grit, extraordinary valour, selflessness and fortitude of naval personnel that underscores the finest traditions of the Indian Navy.
Floral wreaths were also laid by Rear Admiral Ajay Patney, Admiral Superintendent, Naval Dockyard Mumbai and Rear Admiral Shantanu Jha, NM, Flag Officer Commanding Maharashtra Naval Area.
